Status report on HIRFL ECR2 ion source

Description

The parameters and performance of HIRFL ECR2 are presented. Some problems met during the source tuning are mentioned. A better result was obtained by using a thin tube of Zr to cover the inner wall of the plasma cavity. A plan for source test in the near future is described briefly. (author)
