Description
The magnetic electron scattering program carried out at the Bates Linear Accelerator Center since 1977 is described. This is preceded by a brief discussion of some of the accelerator developments that made such experiments possible, and that have led to the present status of the Bates Laboratory. A short history of the very beginning of magnetic electron scattering, both elastic and inelastic, is also given
