Measuring renal uptake of 197HgCl2 by gamma camera
Creators
- 1. Service Hospitalier Frederic Joliot, Orsay, France
Description
Renal uptake of 197Hg was measured with the gamma camera and a digital scintigraphy system comprising an image digitizer, an analyzer fitted with a 16-K memory, and a Multi-8 computer. In 63 patients, the results were identical to those achieved via the laboratory's reference method (quantitative scintigraphy). With the gamma camera, the 197Hg dose is considerably reduced and examination time cut to less than 30 minutes per patient.
