Low-temperature chemiluminescence

  • 1. AN SSSR, Ufa. Inst. Khimii

Description

Literary data on chemiluminescent (CL) reactions in cryogenic matrices of nitrogen and inert gases are systematized and genralized. Trends in developments of investigations in the field of low-temperature CL are traced. Reaction of uranium(4) sulphate complex oxidation by xenon difluoride in H2SO4 is considered in detail as the most typical one for this type of CL reactions and at the same time - as the one, possessing its own peculiarities. Irregularly high effect of the solvent deuteration, resulting both in sufficient change of temperature dependence of CL intensity and the differential thermal analysis curve, produced synchronously under heating of a sample, quick frozen up to 77 K, is indicated
