Radical reactions in an X-ray irradiated single crystal of diphosphene: an ESR study
Description
Two phosphinyl radicals are identified in an X-ray irradiated single crystal of diphosphene. The result from the formation of a five-membered ring containing a phosphorus atom and from the addition of a H atom on the P = P bond respectively. A scission of the radical's P-P bond occurs when the temperature is increased and gives rise to new phosphinyl radicals
