The influence of various system parameters on the homogeneity of tomograms obtained by single photon emission CT (SPECT) using a rotating gamma camera
Description
It was the aim of the study described here to evaluate the quality of images obtained by SPECT on the basis of a set of different system parameters. The parameters chosen for this purpose were: 1) the influence of camera homogeneities on the quality of tomograms; 2) the relationship between the counting rate for the projected images and the counting rate equivalent (grey scale value) subsequently seen in the tomogrammes; 3) the way in which the centre of the image matrix is brought into the focus of the rotation centre. The results are described and discussed. (orig./MG)

(orig./MG)Additional details
