3. System of n-heptane-1-propanethiol
Description
Low-temperature gamma-radiolysis of the n-heptane-1-propanethiol system with various ratios of initial components is studied. EPR spectra of irradiated solid propanethiol solutions in heptane are shown to be a superposition of spectra of paramagnetic particles both of heptane and thiol. Processes of formation, accumulation and death of paramagnetic particles are characterized. Appropriate radical products are identified. Values of yields and their deviations from the additivity rule are determined. The protective effect of 1-propanethiol on a n-heptone molecule is shown
