Positron excitation of the 2 1P state of helium
- 1. York Univ., Toronto, Ontario (Canada). Dept. of Physics
Description
Differential and total cross sections for excitation of the 1 1S-2 1P transition in helium under positron impact were calculated using a distorted-wave approximation. The correlation and orientation parameters for this transition have also been evaluated. The results are compared with previous theoretical calculations and with available experimental data. Agreement with the experimental results is poor. (author)
