Description

Objective: To investigate the change degree of the estimated result affected by various values of the parameters in Tumor Control Probability (TCP) model. Methods: For the main parameters in TCP model, supposing one is variable, at the same time, the other parameters are invariable hypothetic values, the TCP results were calculated one by one, then the change degree of the calculated result affected by various values of this parameter were analyzed. Results: In all parameters of the TCP model, the change of absorbed dose, tumor volume, radiosensitivity and the potential doubling time of the clonogenic affect the TCP result more obviously than cell density, the repair velocity of single DNA-strand and velocity of re-sensitivity. Conclusion: If using TCP to evaluate the radiotherapy effects, the exact values of parameters in TCP model are needed to avoid the mis-evaluation
