Measurement of neutral mesons and thermal radiant photons under the world's highest energy

Description
The authors are conducting research on the material phase 'quark - gluon - plasma (QGP) phase' where quarks and gluons are released from hadron confinement, using the CERN laboratory's LHC accelerator. This state of matter is thought to be the appearance of our universe 10-6 to 10-5 seconds after the Big Bang, and studying it will lead to the elucidation of the state of matter in the very early universe. This paper describes the results of neutral meson measurement and thermal radiant photon measurement in the world's highest energy lead + lead nuclei collision experiment conducted in the ALICE experiment, as well as the prospects for the third phase data acquisition of the LHC accelerator starting in 2022. クォークとグルーオンがハドロンの閉じ込めから解放された物質相「クォーク・グルーオン・プラズマ(QGP)相」に関する研究をCERN研究所LHC加速器を用いて行っています。この物質状態は、ビッグバン直後10-6~10-5秒後の我々の宇宙の姿だと考えられており、それを研究することは極初期宇宙の物質状態の解明に繋がります。本稿では、ALICE実験で行った世界最高エネルギー鉛+鉛原子核衝突実験における中性中間子測定、熱輻射光子測定に関する結果と、2022年から始まるLHC加速器第3期データ取得における展望を述べます。(著者)Additional details
