Effective strong-coupling constant for timelike Q2 and charmonium decays
Description
The charmonium decay problem is re-examined by using effective strong-coupling constant for timelike Q2, analytically continued from that for spacelike Q2. Some discrepancies between theory and experiment are noted and resolved by introducing nonzero effective mass for the gluons in the s-channel. Also carried out is an analysis by using the next-to-leading-order formula for αsub(s). (author)
