Creation wear-resistant gradient coating on the based on titanium boride synthesized by electron-beam surfacing

  • 1. Institute of Strength Physics and Materials Science SB RAS, Tomsk (Russian Federation)

Description

The paper presents the investigation results for the structure and properties of composite coatings obtained from a mixture of thermoreactive FeB and FeTi powders by electron beam surfacing. The dependence of the coating phase and structure formation on the granulometric composition of initial components of the fused mixture is shown. The abrasive wear resistance, friction coefficients and wear rate in friction pairs are studied. The relation of the obtained characteristics to the structure and morphological features of the coating structural components is demonstrated. Key words: electron-beam surfacing in vacuum, composite coatings, thermoreactive powder, titanium diboride
