Application of semi-microscopical coupled channel method to desc ription of low-energy proton scattering on nuclei
Description
A semi-microscopical approach to the description of low-energy proton scattering on nuclei is formulated in the framework of the coupled-channel method. Angular distributions of protons from the inelastic scattering on 58Ni target nucleus with the excitation of (21+), (22+), (41+) and 23+ states are calculated at the incident proton energy Esub(p)=27.1 MeV. A reasonable description of the experimental data is obtained the deformation parameters are extracted, the phonon structure of the excited states in 58Ni is investigated. The effect of the Pauli principle is studied, as well as the contribution from the second-order terms in the phonon operators to the angular distributions of protons scattered inelastically
