Revitalization of charcoal filters with replacement of active charcoal in transfer channel - installation storage for spent fuel (TC-ISFSF)

Description
It is time to replace the charcoal filter in the TC-ISFSF building but the replacement budget is not available. Filter revitalization is carried out by refilling activated charcoal on the charcoal filter frame. The charcoal filter serves to capture contaminants in the form of radionuclide particles in the gas phase. At the installation, the charcoal installed in filter bank 2 has entered the installation age of 26 years, which causes the absorption / filtration power to decrease so that the potential for contaminant particulates generated in the TC-ISFSF installation is dispersed into the environment. Replacement of the charcoal filter as a measure of anticipation and protection for worker safety and the environment. In this activity, 6 units charcoal filter frames have been replaced and can save costs of 48 million rupiah. Keywords: revitalization, filter charcoal, activated charcoal. (author)
