Studies of Tc 99m-pertechnetate-uptake in arthritis
Creators

Description
Guinea-pigs were used to investigate the increased Tc 99m-pertechnetate uptake of inflamed joints during the first days of experimental arthritis. Scans, autoradiographies and activity measurements of different tissue samples were performed. The results of the experiments show that the reason for the increased uptake is not a hyperemic reaction but a high concentration of Tc 99m in the inflamed synovia
