Application of imaging omics and TCM prescriptions in the treatment of liver disease

With the continuous progress of precision medicine, imaging omics (Radiomics) and multi-omics (Multi-omics) analysis have become the focus of the oncology research field. Imagiomics extracts a large number of features from medical imaging through high-throughput technology to reveal the heterogeneity of tumor, while multiomics analysis comprehensively reveals the molecular mechanism of tumor by integrating genomic, transcriptomics and proteomics. This paper aims to explore the potential and challenges of the application of imaging omics and multi-omics features in cancer precision medicine. In the study, we used the prescriptions for treating liver disease included in the prescription of ancient books, and used data mining technologies such as frequency analysis, factor analysis, systematic clustering, and association rules analysis to conduct in-depth analysis of the selected prescriptions. The study results showed that a total of 1445 prescriptions were selected to treat liver disease, involving 188 kinds of Chinese medicine, among which the most frequently used single medicine was Angelica (688 times), followed by licorice (687 times). Through factor analysis, we extracted 29 major components that performed best when the number of clusters was set to 5 classes. Commonly used drugs include incense, oxgenu, pinellia pinellia, poria, Chen baicalensis, Coptis chinensis, astragalus, etc., a total of 10 core combinations. The association analysis revealed the efficacy analysis to treat liver disease. The drugs are the most abundant, followed by tonic deficiency medicine, solution table medicine, water infiltration wet medicine, qi medicine, blood circulation and blood stasis medicine, li medicine and liver xifeng medicine, etc. TCM formulomics provides a new perspective on tumor therapy by studying the composition of TCM compound and its mechanism of action at the molecular level. Traditional Chinese medicine compound can regulate the immune function and metabolic balance of the body through multiple targets and multiple ways, showing its potential therapeutic price
