Uranium extraction from Florida phosphates
Description
The purpose of this paper is to present an overview of the various processes that have been used and are currently being employed for the recovery of uranium from Florida's phosphate deposits. The objectives of this paper are to describe the phosphate deposits in Florida with respect to approximate uranium content, teach something about the processes for making fertilizer and phosphoric acid from phosphate rock; and describe the processes for recovering uranium from phosphate rock. 15 refs
