Observation of an iron K X-ray line from SS433
Creators
- 1. Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Tokyo (Japan)
Description
SS433 was observed with the gas scintillation proportional counters on Tenma at phase 0.42 of the 164-day period and during phase 0.23-0.31 of the 13-day binary period. The observed X-ray spectrum indicates an intense line with a central line energy of 6.7+-0.1keV. The result is consistent with the EXOSAT discovery of blueshifted iron K X-ray line emission. (author)
