Extraction of europium macroquantities with alkyl pyrocatechols from alkaline solutions
Description
The extraction of europium macroamounts using 4 (α, α-dioctylethyl) pyrocatechol (DOP) from alkaline solutions in the presence of diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid is studied depending on the concentration of metal, NaOH, extracting agent, the time of the phase contact. The composition of the extracted complex is determined using the methods of equilibrium shift, molar ratios, saturation of the organic phase. It is established that europium extraction from highly alkaline medium takes place in the form of coordinatively saturated intracomplex compound with the composition Na3[EuDOP3]
