HBK project high temperature reactor fuel cycle. TRISO particle breakage at very high temperatures
Description
A model based on the Weibull distribution is proposed for the prediction of high-temperature failure of TRISO particles with oxidic fuel. The basic material parameters are a temperature dependent failure probability k and a Weibull parameter m. Isothermal experiments performed in the HBK programme predict observed failure fractions approximately by m = 4; and log k (h-1) = 5.00-1.56 E4/T(K).
Abstract (German)
Basierend auf der Weibullverteilung wird ein Modell zur Beschreibung des Partikelbruchs von TRISO-Partikeln mit oxidischem Kern für den Temperaturbereich 1600-2500°C vorgeschlagen. Aus isothermen Tests werden die Parameter des Modells ermittelt. Partikelbruch bei einem typischen Temperaturrampenexperiment werden vorhergesagt.Files
