Equilibrium configurations in compact tori
- 1. M. V. Keldysh Institute of Applied Mathematics, Academy of Sciences of the USSR
Description
The convective stability of compact tori is studied. The most stable pressure profiles are calculated numerically for plasmas of various shapes. The results are toroidal configurations with an aspect ratio approx.4. The corresponding adiabatic-equilibrium problem is solved numerically by inversion of variables
