Method of sinking structure underground
Description
Purpose: To enable to stably sinking even huge structures undergrounds with no requirement for dismantling upon disposal of radioactive material-contaminated structures. Constitution: Barrier walls are disposed to the inside of a berrying hole, freezing pipes are disposed to the inside of the hole and then frozen bodies such as of water are cooled to compact. A heavy weight structure such as a reactor container is connected with an anchor body and then caused to slide on a sliding rack by a lateral-pulling jack to displace horizontally to the above of the berrying hole. Then, warm water, etc. is sent into the freezing pipes to conduct melting. In this method, it is possible to stably sink even a huge structural material such as nuclear power plant smoothly with no damages, to surely prevent circumstantial contaminations. (Horiuchi, T.)
