Problems in promoting field and factory experiments of radiotracers
Description
The aim of this report is to discuss problems arising in promoting radioisotope (RI) applications in the field and factory. Economical efficiency of RI applications is described in the areas of industry, environment, and agriculture. On the basis of backgrounds and present status of RI applications, the problems are divided into legal, technological, and social concerns. Finally, the following five suggestions are given: (1) preparation of safety standards, (2) preparation of technological standards, (3) usage of a car that allows a tracer experiment, (4) establishment of dose limit to partly rule out RI regulations, and (5) organization of tracer specialists.
