Investigations of the wake-field excitation by relativistic electron bunches

Description
We present a review of works on the charge particle acceleration by wake-field waves excited by relativistic electron bunches (REB) in plasma. Optimum conditions for obtaining a high coefficient of energy transformation by using a programmed sequence of REB are found. The enhancement of wake-field excited by a long REB due to its self-modulation is obtained
