Electrofission of uranium isotopes in nonresonance excitation energy range

Description

Cross section of electrofission of four uranium isotopes 233U, 235U, 236U, and 238U is measured at electron energies from 800 to 1200 MeV. The results are compared with other data. Nonresonance contribution to the reaction cross section is selected. The obtained mean value of the nonresonance contribution cross section equals 4.18 +- 0.21 mbn, which makes up approximately 48% of the total cross section of the 238U nucleUs electrofission in the investigated initial electron energy range (800-1200 MeV)
