Comparison between soil benchmark experiment and MARS calculation
Creators

Description
A soil benchmark experiment was conducted using secondary particles produced by 12 GeV protons. Hadron fluence was determined by measuring induced activities of 22Na in the aluminum flux monitors. The experiment was simulated by the MARS Monte-Carlo code. It has been concluded that the calculated values of fluences and induced activities were consistent with the experimental values. (author)
