Electrofiltration concentration of ionic forms of radioactive elements on porous membranes

Description

Electrofiltration method for concentrating ion forms of elements present in aqueous solutions in trace amounts is considered. The process consists in mechanical filtration of the solution through inert porous membrane (separating cathode and anode chambers of electrolytic cell) in the direction opposite to the direction of the separated ion electromigration. When concentreation coefficient equals 100, completeness of 22Na, 137Cs, 57Co, 36Cl, 131I isotope concentration was ≥ 99.9%. 3 figs
