THTR 300 and SNR 300: The performers in the reactor dome - stunned

Description
'The projects can again be planned'. This was the result achieved about five months ago at the Federal Research Ministry with regard to the fast breeder reactor. Right now, things look quite different. The status seminar SNR 300 held at Kalkar on October 22nd could become the swan-song for the fast breeder reactor - for financial reasons. And in Kalkar the only topic left for discussion might be who is it who will have to stick his neck out for the failure of this large-scale project. (orig.)

'Das Projekt ist wieder planbar geworden'. Zu dieser Erkenntnis in Sachen Schneller Brueter war man vor etwa fuenf Monaten im Bundesforschungsministerium gekommen. Jetzt sehen die Dinge ganz anders aus: Das Statusseminar SNR 300 am 22. Oktober in Kalkar koennte zum Abgesang auf den Schnellen Brueter werden - aus finanziellen Gruenden. Und in Kalkar steht dann moeglicherweise nur noch zur Diskussion, wer in der Oeffentlichkeit seinen Kopf fuer das Scheitern des Grossprojekts hinhalten muss. (orig.)Additional details
