Proton-argon charge transfer cross sections with a realistic electron-target interaction
Description
Total cross sections for K-shell to K-shell charge transfer for protons on argon are calculated in the Brinkman-Kramers and the Coulomb-projected Born approximations by using the Herman-Skillman potential for the active electron-target interaction in place of the usual Coulomb potential. This modification is found to lead to an improvement in the results. (author)
