Magnetic electron spectrometers and their in-beam use
Description
A review is made of magnetic instruments for measurement of momentum or energy of electrons produced in the target of an accelerator. Three types of instruments are considered: magnetic spectrometers for differential momentum measurements, magnetic spectrometers coupled with Si(Li) detectors, which measure the integral energy spectrum, and magnetic guiding devices for selection and transport of electrons from targets to Si(Li) spectrometers. The following types are reviewed: lens, orange, π √2, 1/2 π√13, trochoidal and sectors. (Auth.)
