Description
The effects of manufacturing parameters on the resulting texture of Zr 702 have been experimentally studied, with emphasis on the texture evolution during various thermal treatments and cold deformation processes, related to the microstructural transformations. In order to identify the deformation systems that are triggered during cold tension, textures calculated from the Crystalline Orientation Distribution Function are compared to the textures calculated with Sachs and Taylor type simulation models, and to experimental microstructural observations.
