Device for sample irradiation by bremsstrahlung gamma radiation inside the chamber of a 30 MeV microtron

Description
The structure of a device designed for sample irradiation inside the vacuum chamber of the electron accelerator, namely, a microtron with 30 orbits, in γ activation analysis and in other nuclear physics experiments, is described. Spatial characteristics of γ radiation fields inside the container of pneumatic transport system, in which the irradiation is performed, are presented. Measurements are made using activation detectors both with and without the container rotation. The results obtained allow one to choose reasonably sample location points for their irradiation under optimal conditions
