Phase formation in the Ln2(MoO4)3-Hf(MoO4)2 (Ln=La-Lu, Y, Sc) systems

Description
Interactions in the Ln2(MoO4)3-Hf(MoO4)2 (Ln=La-Lu, Y, Sc) system were studied at 550-750 Deg C using X-ray powder diffraction, differential thermal analysis and IR spectroscopy. New double rare earth and hafnium molybdates Ln2Hf3(MoO4)9 (Ln=La-Tb), Ln2Hf2(MoO4)7 (Ln=Sm-Ho, Y) and Ln2Hf(MoO4)5 (Ln=Tb-Lu, Y) were found. Thermal and crystal parameters were determined. The structure of Dy2Hf2(MoO4)7 (1) was studied by X-ray crystallography. Crystals of 1 are monoclinic with the unit cell parameters: a=20.661(3) A, b=9.816(1) A, c=13.796(3) A, β113.47(1) Deg, space group C2/c, Z=4, R=0.023. Molybdate 1 represents a new structural type
Abstract (Russian)
Методами рентгенофазового, дифференциального термического анализов и ИК-спектроскопии изучено взаимодействие в системах Ln2(MoO4)3-Hf(MoO4)2 (Ln=La-Lu, Y, Sc) при 550-750 град C. Установлено образование новых двойных молибдатов редкоземельных элементов и гафния следующих составов: Ln2Hf3(MoO4)9 (Ln=La-Tb), Ln2Hf2(MoO4)7 (Ln=Sm-Ho, Y) и Ln2Hf(MoO4)5 (Ln=Tb-Lu, Y). Определены термические и кристаллографические характеристики. Методом рентгеноструктурного анализа изучена структура Dy2Hf2(MoO4)7 (1). Кристаллы 1 относятся к моноклинной сингонии с параметрами решетки a=20.661(3) A, b=9.816(1) A, c=13.796(3) A, β113.47(1) град., пр. гр. C2/c, Z=4, R=0.023.
