Light collection in large liquid scintillation counters with dacron foil wall
Description
Light collection characteristics in large (approximately 10 m of length) cylindrical liquid scintillation counters on the basis of water or white-spirit have been obtained by computer calculations. Their wall was prepared of dacron foil of various thickness. Experimental values of optical parameters for dacron foils are used. The analytical expression which contains fitting parameter is proposed for calculation of these characteristics. The calculation results agree well with the experimental data
