Effect of reactor radiation on strength of uranium-less carbide products
Description
Full text : It is known that causes of hardening of shell-les rod carbide fuel elements under irradiation are associated with intense exposure to fission fragments on the structure of the sintered fuel material and due to the prevalence of hardening process of radiation healing of the source technological defects above softening processes of radiation defects. These experiments have also pointed out the defining role of the impact of fission fragments on change of the strength properties of ceramic materials and products under irradiation
