Computed tomography with severily underdetermined data sets for complex applications

An algebraic CT reconstruction method designed for highly underdetermined datasets has been extended to include methods of data acquisition, processing and analysis and artifact reduction, characterized theoretically and experimentally, and applied to new, complex problems (development of unusual CT geometries, 3D experimental investigation of a dynamic process and large-volume objects using the example of freight containers).

Ein fuer stark unterbestimmte Datensaetze ausgelegtes algebraisches CT-Rekonstruktionsverfahren wurde um Methoden der Datenaufnahme, -verarbeitung und -analyse sowie Artefaktreduktion erweitert, theoretisch und experimentell charakterisiert und auf neue, komplexe Problemstellungen angewandt (Entwicklung unueblicher CT-Geometrien, experimentelle 3D-Untersuchung eines dynamischen Vorgangs und grossvolumiger Objekte am Beispiel von Frachtcontainern).
