A dramatic anomaly in pion production in p vector+d collisions

Description
A dramatic anomaly has been observed at extreme back angles in the analyzing power Asub(yo)(0) and in sigma00(theta) for the reaction p vector+d->t+π+ at Tsub(p)=800 MeV. It is speculated that the anomaly is related to the Δ-Δ component in the ground state of the deuteron. (orig.)
