Description

Using Moessbauer spectroscopy and measurement of hysteresis loops and thermomagnetic curves, the phase composition and magnetic parameters of mechanically alloyed Fe3Si powders were studied in dependence on the milling time and subsequent heat treatment within a thermomagnetic experiment. Samples of as-prepared powders show high coercivity values. The saturation magnetization and the amorphous Fe3Si phase content grow with increasing time of milling, the α-Fe content diminishes. Heat treatment of samples with a sufficiently long milling time can produce almost perfect Fe3Si alloy. (author). 2 figs., 7 refs
