Radioactive patients

Description

A brief article considers the risks to others from patients who have been given radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic or therapeutic reasons. Greater risks come from giving 131I therapeutically than 99Tc diagnostically. The interpretation of the Ionising Radiations Regulations 1985 for clinical applications is also briefly discussed. (UK)
