The development of a stopping power predictor for ions with energies of 0.1-1.0 MeV/u in elemental targets
Creators
Description
An empirical formula based on Bohr's classical approach has been developed to predict the stopping power (force) for ions with energies of 0.1-1.0 MeV/u in elemental targets. This formula represents the available data with a global error of better than 10% and permits reliable prediction of the stopping power for projectile-target combinations where no data is currently available
