MHD Couette flow through a horizontal channel bounded by porous media
Description
Magneto hydrodynamic Couette flow of a viscous incompressible conducting fluid in a horizontal channel bounded by porous media of different permeabilities is studied. Darcy's law together with Beavers-Joseph slip conditions at the upper porous interface and Brinkman's model for flow through the highly porous medium bounded by a moving wall are taken into consideration for the investigation. The effects of permeability coefficients together with Hartmann number on the velocity distributions in both the free fluid region and the lower porous region, skin-friction and mass flux have been analysed and are shown graphically.
