Differential cross section measurement of π- + p → π0 + n and π- + p → π + n (eta → 2γ) reactions at 100 GeV/c
Description
The first results of the NA 12 experiment on charge exchange and eta production at 100 GeV/c are presented. An geometrical model based on duality is used to explain the spectra of dσ/dt: the impact parameter which is the base of this model, has its real part constant and its imaginary part which appears not to agree with the theoretical prediction. However, this model, using only 4 parameters, fits these results and data obtained at lower energies well

Nous presentons les premiers resultats de l'experience NA 12 sur l'echange de charge et la production de eta a 100 GeV/c. Un modele geometrique base sur la dualite est utilise pour interpreter les spectres de dσ/dt: le parametre d'impact, base de ce modele, comporte une partie reelle constante et une partie imaginaire qui semble s'ecarter de la prediction theorique. Neanmoins, ce modele, utilisant seulement 4 parametres, ajuste bien les resultats de meme que d'autres donnees obtenues a plus basse energieFiles
