Viability of neural networks use for gamma-cameras signal digital processing in medical images formation

  • 1. Coordenadoria para Projetos Especiais (COPESP), Sao Paulo, SP (Brazil)

Description

The feasibility study of gamma-camera signal processing using neural networks in medical systems is presented. The retro-propagation network algorithm is applied with hyperbolic threshold function in the processing elements. The data for training and testing of the neural networks were simulated from a simplified model and the results showed the viability of the method. (C.G.C.). 5 refs, 8 figs
