Studsvik Nuclear: high quality services for world market
Description
Studsvik Nuclear is a division within the Studsvik Group. The Swedish State owns all the shares in Studsvik AB. Studsvik Nuclear and the Alnor Group are the two divisions which are oriented toward the nuclear power market. Studsvik Nuclear is the offspring of AB Atomenergi, created in 1947 to develop and promote nuclear energy in Sweden. From the broad scope of AB Atomenergi's responsibilities in the 1950s and 1960s, Studsvik Nuclear has developed into a commercial organization selling systems, services and contract R and D on the nuclear market. Its experience from the design, construction and operation of several research reactors, the pioneering district heating reactor at Aagesta and the Ranstad uranium mill is the basis of its know-how. Its activities in the nuclear power market are today divided into four business units: Fuel Technology; Instrument Systems; Power Plant Services; and Safety and System Analysis. 2 figs
