Firms selected to provide services for the superconducting super collider

The Department of Energy has announced that the team of Parsons Brinckerhoff of New York City, and Morrison Knudsen of Boise, Idaho, in association with CRSS Inc., of Houston, Texas, have been selected for negotiations to be the architect, engineer, and construction manager (A-E/CM) for a high-energy billion-dollar superconducting super collider (SSC) particle accelerator and laboratory. A science priority of the White House and the DOE, the $5.9 to $7.9 billion SSC, and its associated laboratory, will be built in Ellis County, Texas, 30 miles south of Dallas
