Description
Description of new advanced heavy water reactor AHWR of middle power, where light water is used as a coolant, is presented. Development of this reactor serves as constituent element in realizing of the successive stage by India of its long-term program in the development of the nuclear energetics with closed fuel cycle and use of thorium in nuclear fuel. Safety analysis with application as determining methods, so probabilistic approach was performed

Дано описание проекта нового усовершенствованного тяжеловодного реактора AHWR средней мощности, где в качестве теплоносителя используется легкая вода. Разработка этого реактора является составным элементом осуществления Индией очередного этапа ее долгосрочной программы развития ядерной энергетики с замкнутым топливным циклом и использованием тория в ядерном топливе.
