Phase equilibria in part of the system Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-Oxide

  • 1. Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich (Switzerland)

Description

Subsolidus phase equilibria at 830 degree C in air in a relevant part of the system Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-Oxide are reported. Equilibrium was approaches by crystallizing rapidly solidified glasses as well as by solid state reaction. The single phase regions of the 1, 2 and 3 layered superconducting phases 2201, 2212 and 2232 were investigated along the Ca-Sr solid solution lines as well as their homogeneity ranges perpendicular to this axis. Extended solid solution was found for the 2201 and for the 2212 phase
