Study of the calcination of natural limestone by Aluminium-27 magic angle spinning NMR and X-ray diffraction
- 1. Instituto Militar de Engenharia (IME), Rio de Janeiro, RJ (Brazil). Dept. de Engenharia Mecanica
Description
In this work it was investigated the variation of the coordination number of natural caulinite (IV) during the calcination process, aiming to obtain a structure containing only aluminum with coordination number equal to IV and, or V in order to be used for the synthesis of an inorganic polymer. Magic angle spinning and NMR were used in the structural determination. Results are presented
