Description

The spectrum of cadmium was photographed in the region 500-2300 A on 6.65 and 10.7 m normal incidence spectrographs. The sources used were a triggered spark and a sliding spark. All 38 levels of the 4d75s configuration and eleven unknown levels of the 4d75p configuration of Cd V have been established. The previous analysis of the 4d8-4d75p transitions has been confirmed. The least-squares level fitting calculations support the analysis. 709 lines have been classified in the 4d75s-4d75p transition array out of which 39 are doubly and one triply classified. (orig.)
