Effect of the pumping intensity on the resonant secondary emission spectra of optically aligned hot excitons in ZnTe crystals

Description

The excitation of ZnTe single crystals by linearly polarized lines (lambda = 488.0 and 496.5 nm) of an Ar+ laser produces polarized secondary emission. The effect of excitation intensity on the secondary emission spectra of cleaved and mechanically polished surfaces of ZnTe single crystals has been investigated. The degree of linear polarization of multiphonon lines was found to be directly proportional to the decadic logarithm of the pumping intensity and indirectly proportional to the scattering order
